This product is printed on 120# (325 gsm) matte white cardstock — it’s thick and heavy cardstock! This cardstock is ideal for use with alcohol markers and dry mediums (colored pencils, pastels, crayons). It is NOT watercolor or mixed media paper so it is not ideal for heavy watercoloring or for use with watercolor markers and wet mediums. It is still possible to watercolor on this cardstock, but do so using indirect watercoloring techniques (e.g., touch a wet/damp waterbrush on markers or inkpads and then apply the color onto the cardstock). Apply a thin layer of clear gesso (let dry overnight) to give this cardstock some tooth and you’ll be able to use watercoloring and/or mixed media techniques.
